For years eBay has been the go to destination for collectors looking for everything from vintage sneakers to rare sports cards. Now the company is taking that experience a step further with eBay Live on Tour, a new series of events that combines in-person hobby culture with the energy of livestream shopping.

This nationwide tour blends pop-up experiences at hobby shops, conventions, and trade nights with live broadcasts on the eBay Live platform. The idea is simple: give collectors a chance to connect with each other face to face, while also letting fans tune in online and shop from all around the globe.

What Is eBay Live on Tour?

eBay Live on Tour is an extension of eBay Live, the livestream shopping feature that launched in 2022. Instead of limiting the action to online streams, the tour brings live shopping directly into communities through trade nights, retail stores, and appearances at major conventions.

According to Caroline Pougnier, U.S. General Manager of eBay Live, the goal is to create experiences that celebrate the collector community. By pairing livestreams with real world events, eBay is betting that hobbyists will enjoy a more personal connection with the brand while still benefiting from the convenience of shopping online.

Launch and Event Schedule

The tour officially kicked off on June 14, 2025, with a “Hobby Block Party” at AA Mint Cards in Cooper City, Florida. That event featured autograph sessions, rare card showcases, and an appearance by basketball prospect Boogie Fland. From there, the schedule expanded to cover some of the biggest hobby gatherings of the year.

Here is the full list of announced stops:

  • June 14, 2025 — Cooper City, FL: Hobby Block Party at AA Mint Cards
  • June 27–29, 2025 — Tampa, FL: Card Party East
  • July 19, 2025 — Los Angeles, CA: Trade Night at Bullpen HQ
  • July 24–27, 2025 — San Diego, CA: San Diego Comic-Con
  • August 9, 2025 — Los Angeles, CA: Hobby Block Party at Lucky Vault
  • August 19–23, 2025 — Oklahoma City, OK: ANA World’s Fair of Money
  • September 27, 2025 — Hamilton Square, NJ: Trade Night at TNT North Jersey
  • October 9–12, 2025 — New York, NY: New York Comic Con
  • November 15, 2025 — Las Vegas, NV: Hobby Block Party at Legacy Sports Shop

Each stop also includes a livestream broadcast on the eBay Live Tour channel, which means collectors who cannot make it in person can still take part in the experience.

How the Tour Works

At an in-person stop, fans can browse displays, interact with sellers, and join activities that highlight the local collector community. Meanwhile, the events are broadcast live through eBay’s platform. Viewers online can watch hosts showcase items, ask questions in the chat, and buy products instantly through either Buy It Now pricing or live auctions.

The format is designed to give collectors the best of both worlds. Those who attend physically get the atmosphere of a hobby show, while online participants enjoy the convenience of livestream shopping backed by eBay’s protections.

Why the Tour Matters

For collectors, the appeal is clear. The tour delivers the energy of a trade night or convention but adds the reach of a global livestream. Buyers can see products up close, interact with sellers, and make purchases on the spot. Sellers benefit as well, gaining exposure to new audiences and building trust in ways that traditional listings cannot replicate.

The tour also shows how eBay is doubling down on its position in the collectibles market. Live shopping has become a growing trend worldwide, and by connecting it to physical hobby culture, eBay is trying to set itself apart from competitors.

What Comes Next for eBay Live

The full schedule of eBay Live on Tour runs through the end of 2025, and more stops could be announced as the program grows. While trading cards and comics remain at the heart of the events, categories such as sneakers, watches, and other collectibles are expected to be featured as well. Sellers who want to be part of the livestream side can register interest through eBay, suggesting the program will continue to expand.
