Release day for 2026 Topps Series 1 Baseball is here. As the flagship release celebrating Topps’ 75th Anniversary, this year’s product sets the tone for the baseball card season. Collectors across hobby, jumbo, and retail formats are already sharing notable hits from their first boxes.

Below is a look at some of the most significant early pulls and what they tell us about 2026 Topps Series 1.

If you want a full breakdown of inserts, base parallels, rookies, and autograph sets, you can read our complete guide on 2026 Topps Series 1 Baseball here.

Early One of One (1/1) Hits

True one-of-one cards are already surfacing.

A FoilFractor 1/1 rookie autograph card of the 23 year old pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers, Jacob Misiorowski, has been pulled already by a father and son. You can even watch their pull live here.

Another big 1/1 pull comes from the 1991 Topps insert set in 2026 Topps Series 1. This insert uses the 1991 Topps design and in 1/1 form makes this Bobby Witt Jr. card look incredible.

75 Years of Topps Die-Cut Autographs

An insert we didn’t cover in our original blog is 75 Years of Topps Autographs. These cards come in both die-cut and non–die-cut versions. The inserts look amazing and stand out immediately thanks to their geometric design. Featuring legends of the game such as Ichiro and Derek Jeter adds to the significance of the set, as it celebrates Topps’ 75th anniversary and the company’s long-standing presence in the hobby.

Awesome Patch Cards and Relics

Several high-end patch cards have surfaced on day one.

Here’s a polished version with improved grammar and flow:

A City Connect 1/1 patch of Shohei Ohtani has already been pulled, and the patch looks amazing. Even as a veteran, Shohei Ohtani cards in any form remain a chase in 2026 Topps Series 1.

A red /5 patch card of rookie Colson Montgomery of the Chicago White Sox has also already been pulled. Montgomery is a player collectors should be keeping an eye on, especially after his impressive rookie season last year.

First Card One of One (1/1)

One of the more unique pulls so far is a First Card 1/1 team card. These represent the first card off the production run and remain a niche but respected chase within flagship products.

Topps originally introduced the First Card concept in last year’s flagship release, though it was not without controversy. Several copies were misprinted, which led Topps to issue a public statement addressing the Series 1 First Card printing errors.

With the concept returning in 2026 Topps Series 1, collectors are paying closer attention. Because First Card stamps can be subtle, it is worth carefully checking base cards and team cards when opening boxes. Can you see the “First Card” print on this card?

Photograph Your Series 1 Pulls with the Ludex Light Box

Release day pulls deserve clean photos. Whether you hit a one-of-one, an anniversary autograph, or a low-numbered parallel, good lighting makes a difference when sharing, cataloging, or listing your cards.

The Ludex Light Box is built specifically for trading cards. Its diffused lighting helps reduce glare on foil surfaces, chrome finishes, and acetate elements, while the black background keeps colors and serial numbers clear.

If you are scanning cards into the Ludex app or posting your Topps Series 1 pulls online, consistent lighting helps your cards look the way they should without harsh reflections or shadows.
