What a week in sports, the NFL Wild Card Weekend gave us a lot of surprises and we are in the heart of the NBA Season. This week truly had a direct impact on the sports card hobby. The third spot on this list is reserved for the most popular NFL player of the week, Jared Goff. Goff led the Detroit Lions to their first playoff win in 32 years and beat his old team while in the process. The Lions have home-field advantage for the Divisional Round game and the Hobby is taking notice of Goff’s success this year.
2. Anthony Edwards – Jumped 246 Spots in the Rankings
Coming in at the third spot is Anthony Edwards. He has been BALLING lately and the Minnesota Timberwolves are the number one team in the Western Conference. But is that the real reason why Anthony Edwards is trending? Or is he trending because people have been comparing him to Michael Jordan all week long? Edwards and Jordan have a very similar style in play, not only that they resemble each other physically as well. Is Anthony Edwards a clone of Michael Jordan? Queue the X-Files music.
1. Jahmyr Gibbs Jumped 495 Spots in the Rankings
With the help of 2023 Panini Prizm Football being the hottest product on the market, Jahmyr Gibbs jumped 495 spots in the trending sold players rankings this week. Everyone and their mother is buying and ripping Prizm Football and Gibbs is a Top 10 rookie to chase in the set. Add in the touchdown and playoff win during Wild Card Weekend and Jahmyr comes flying in out of nowhere and becomes the biggest mover of the week.
