2026 Topps Allen & Ginter Baseball releases October 7, 2026, and it is the 21st edition of the brand. The formula is familiar: a 300-card base set that puts MLB stars, Hall of Famers, actors, musicians and reality TV personalities on the same checklist, backed by minis, oddball inserts, framed autographs and one-of-one cut signatures. This year also brings a few structural changes worth knowing before you open a box, including a smaller base set with no short prints and one-of-one Daguerreotype redemptions.
If you’re hunting specific A&G singles once they hit the secondary market, Ludex Super Search lets you search across 26 marketplaces at once without creating an account.
About 2026 Topps Allen & Ginter Baseball
Topps revived the Allen & Ginter name in 2006, borrowing from the 19th-century tobacco company whose cards are some of the earliest in the hobby. Every year since, the product has mixed baseball with whatever else Topps finds interesting: world history, pop culture, music, and educational mini sets about everything from lighthouses to languages.
The 2026 base set is 300 cards, which makes it the smallest Allen & Ginter base set ever produced. It is also the first A&G since 2015 without short prints in the base set, so set builders only need to track down the 300 standard cards. Aaron Judge headlines the checklist alongside rookies like Konnor Griffin, Kevin McGonigle and Roman Anthony, while names like Anne Hathaway, Jerry Seinfeld, Steve Aoki and Luke Combs sit in the same numbered run.
For the full product rundown, you can visit the official Topps Allen & Ginter page. If you opened last year’s release, our guide to the best cards to look for in 2025 Topps Allen and Ginter Baseball covers how the 20th anniversary edition compared.
Box Configuration and Pricing
Each 2026 Allen & Ginter hobby box has 18 packs of 8 cards, for 144 cards total, with 12 boxes per case. Every hobby box includes two hits, which can be any mix of autographs, relics, Rip Cards, printing plates or A&G Originals. Topps opened presales on September 8 at $139.99 per hobby box, and the price moved to $159.99 on release day.
Retail comes in Value boxes with 8 packs of 6 cards (48 cards). Hits are not guaranteed in Value boxes, and several of the top chases, including Rip Cards, Mini Metal parallels and the Linkin Park and The Maine band autographs, are hobby exclusive.
Key Rookies
The 2026 rookie class in A&G includes Konnor Griffin (Pirates), Kevin McGonigle (Tigers), JJ Wetherholt (Cardinals), Roman Anthony (Red Sox), Samuel Basallo (Orioles) and Nolan McLean (Mets). Two Japanese imports also get their first A&G cards: Munetaka Murakami with the White Sox and Kazuma Okamoto with the Blue Jays.
Most of these rookies show up across the product, not just in the base set. Griffin, McGonigle, Wetherholt, Murakami and Okamoto all have Framed Mini Autographs, and a 20-card Rookie Design Variations insert (1:35 packs) gives players like Griffin, McGonigle, Anthony and Murakami an alternate look. For the tougher chase, Griffin, Wetherholt, Jac Caglianone and Basallo are also on the Carte de Visite Autographs checklist, where every card is numbered /10.
Base Set and Parallels

The full-size base cards run through the Foil Filagree parallel ladder:
- Silver Portrait (1:5 hobby)
- Foil Filagree (1:24 hobby)
- Blue Foil Filagree /150
- Green Foil Filagree /99
- Gold Foil Filagree /50
- Orange Foil Filagree /25
- Black Foil Filagree /10
- Red Foil Filagree /5
- Purple Foil Filagree 1/1 and Glossy 1/1
The minis are where most A&G collectors spend their time. Base minis fall about one every two hobby packs, with A&G Back (1:5), Black Border (1:10), No Number (/50), Brooklyn Back (/25), Wood 1/1 (hobby only) and Glossy 1/1 parallels. Retail gets its own Gold Border minis. A 100-card Chrome subset (1:13 hobby) and a separate 100-card Mini Chrome subset add Refractors down to SuperFractor 1/1s.
Rare Base Variations
Four variation types sit well above the standard parallels:
- Mini Metal: a hobby-only, 149-card partial parallel numbered to just 3 copies each (1:6,958 hobby packs).
- Mini Stained Glass: limited to 25 copies each but not serial numbered (1:2,173 hobby packs).
- Tin Type: a 100-card variation set (1:8,155 hobby packs).
- Daguerreotype: 100 subjects, each a 1/1 packed out as a redemption (1:75,838 hobby packs).
The Daguerreotype redemptions are the toughest base-level pulls in the product. The checklist covers names like Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, Shohei Ohtani, Aaron Judge, Paul Skenes and rookies including Griffin, McGonigle and Wetherholt.
Inserts
Three insert sets are new for 2026, and a few returning favorites fill out the rest of the lineup.

Wicked Power
Wicked Power is a 30-card full-size insert (1:3 hobby packs) built on last year’s Wicked Curves design, with the same spooky borders and haunted house lettering. This time the focus is power hitters, so the checklist runs from Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle and Hank Aaron to Aaron Judge, Shohei Ohtani, Cal Raleigh and Kyle Schwarber.
Mini 50 Ways to Say Hello
This 50-card mini set (1:14 packs) teaches a basic greeting in a different language on every card. Alongside Spanish, French and Japanese, the checklist includes Navajo, Cherokee, Aramaic, Latin and Quechua. It is a good example of the educational, non-sports mini sets that A&G has run since 2006.
Mini Musical Methods
Musical Methods is a 20-card mini set (1:35 packs) covering ways people have listened to music, from the phonograph and gramophone to the 8-track, boombox, CD player and smartphone. The jukebox card is the one Topps has used to preview the set.
Mini Uniform Countdown
Uniform Countdown is a short, hobby-only mini set (1:8,818 hobby packs) where each card is numbered to the player’s jersey number. The 2026 run covers numbers 31 through 40, starting with Greg Maddux /31 and ending with Bartolo Colon /40, with Kirby Puckett /34 and Dave Parker /39 in between.
Career 250, N34 and N43
Career 250 is a 50-card set built around legends like Cy Young, Babe Ruth, Hank Aaron, Nolan Ryan and Ken Griffey Jr. N34 (50 cards, 1:14) and N43 (20 cards, 1:5) return as the vintage-style inserts for current stars and rookies, including Judge, Ohtani, Griffin, McGonigle, Murakami and Okamoto.
Rip Cards and Double Rip Cards
Rip Cards are hobby exclusive and fall about 1:81 hobby packs. There are 200 of them, each numbered /199, and each has a sealed mini inside. You have to tear the outer card open to find out what you have.
The mini inside is either a Mini Red Ink Autograph or one of 50 Mini Exclusives (cards #301 to #350) that only come from Rip Cards. The Mini Exclusive checklist includes Ohtani, Judge, Skenes, Ruth, Mantle, Jackie Robinson and Sandy Koufax, who isn’t in the regular base set. Those Mini Exclusives also have their own Metal, Stained Glass and Wood 1/1 versions.
Double Rip Cards are tougher at 1:1,212 hobby packs, each numbered /50 with two minis inside. The pairings include Aaron Judge and Derek Jeter, Babe Ruth and Mickey Mantle, Shohei Ohtani and Sandy Koufax, and Abraham Lincoln with Ulysses S. Grant.
Autographs

Allen & Ginter has more autograph formats than most baseball products, and the non-baseball signers are a big part of why people buy it.
Framed Mini Baseball Autographs
The Framed Mini Baseball Autographs are the most common hit in the product at about 1:67 hobby packs. The checklist has 180 signers, including Aaron Judge, Shohei Ohtani, Bryce Harper, Elly De La Cruz, David Ortiz, Derek Jeter, Ken Griffey Jr. and Sandy Koufax. Parallels run Green Frame /99, Blue Frame /50, Black Frame /25, Red Ink /10 (hobby only) and Purple Frame 1/1.
Framed Mini Non-Baseball Autographs
This is the set most people think of when they think of A&G. The 59-signer checklist (1:150 hobby packs) includes actors Anne Hathaway, Megan Fox, Patrick Stewart, Jesse Eisenberg, Rob Lowe and Geena Davis, comedians David Spade, Colin Jost and Matt Rife, and musicians Nelly, Tim McGraw, Luke Combs, Moby and Steve Aoki. There are also Survivor and The Challenge cast members, sportscasters like Rich Eisen and Tim Kurkjian, and Penn State hockey player Gavin McKenna. Steve Burns from Blue’s Clues is one of the more nostalgic signatures on the list.
Carte de Visite Autographs
Carte de Visite Autographs are styled after the small photo calling cards of the 1800s. All 60 are numbered /10 (1:8,497 hobby packs) with a Red Ink 1/1 parallel. The checklist mixes legends like Cal Ripken Jr., Nolan Ryan and Ichiro with current players like Ohtani, Juan Soto and Bobby Witt Jr.
Full-Size, Dual and Band Autographs
Only three Full-Size Autographs are in the set: Barry Bonds, Kirk Gibson and Reggie Jackson (1:10,283 hobby packs), each with a Red Ink /10 parallel. The only Full-Size Dual Autograph pairs The Challenge’s Tori Deal and Devin Walker.
The hobby-exclusive band autographs put five signatures on one card. One features Linkin Park, including Mike Shinoda and Emily Armstrong, and the other features all five members of The Maine. Each falls about 1:60,670 hobby packs, with a Red Ink /10 parallel.
Dynasty Autographed Patches and Topps Employee Autographs
Dynasty Autographed Patches feature Miley Cyrus, Seth Meyers and Tony Hawk. They are numbered /10 with Silver /5 and Gold 1/1 parallels, and they are packed out as redemptions. On the other end of the fame scale, 13 Topps employees signed their own mini autographs, each numbered /10 (1:34,868 hobby packs).
Autographed Relics
Autographed Relics are numbered /99 with Filagree parallels down to 1/1, featuring Jeter, Trout, Ichiro, Soto and Nick Kurtz. The Dual Autographed Relics pair players from the same franchise, like Roman Anthony with David Ortiz, Nick Kurtz with Mark McGwire, and Gunnar Henderson with Cal Ripken Jr. At the top are 55 Autographed Lineup Card Relics, all 1/1, including two Ohtani and two Trout cards.
Cut Signatures
Cut Signatures are the rarest autographs in the product: 51 cards, every one a 1/1, at about 1:89,221 hobby packs. Each pairs a cut autograph with a design based on old scouting and biography sheets.
The baseball side includes Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Mickey Mantle, Honus Wagner, Jackie Robinson and Roberto Clemente. The non-baseball side is what makes A&G different: Abraham Lincoln, Winston Churchill, Ronald Reagan, Alexander Graham Bell, John Wayne, Marlon Brando and broadcaster Vin Scully. There are also 11 Cut Signature Relics, all 1/1, including Hank Aaron, Willie Mays and Tony Gwynn.
Relics
Relics come in Full-Size A and B designs plus a 120-card Framed Mini Relic set (1:70 hobby packs). Like the autographs, they aren’t limited to baseball: Jesse Eisenberg, Tim McGraw and Xzibit have full-size relics, and Moby and Eva Erickson appear in the Framed Mini Relics. The 96 Lineup Card Relics are all 1/1 and include Aaron Judge, Cal Raleigh and Bobby Witt Jr.
