2025 Topps Cosmic Chrome Football drops on June 19, 2026, and it’s the first time the Cosmic Chrome brand has launched with full NFL licensing. The 2024 version covered the NFL but without a license, so this year’s product is a significant step up, featuring authentic team logos, uniforms, and proper NFL branding throughout.
Hobby boxes include 20 packs of 4 cards, with 8 boxes per case. Presale through EQL opened at $639.99 and moved to $649.99 on release day. If you want a deeper look at what the Chrome brand offers across sports, check out our Ludex Super Search guide for finding cards across 26 marketplaces at once.
Box Configuration
Each Hobby box contains 20 packs with 4 cards per pack. Cases come with 8 boxes. The product was distributed via EQL’s raffle system for presale, which helps reduce bots and gives collectors a fair shot at securing a box at retail price. For more on the NFL and its teams, visit NFL.com.
Base Set and Parallels
The base set runs 200 cards split evenly between veterans (cards 1-100) and rookies (cards 101-200). The design puts players against a space-themed backdrop with stars, planets, and cosmic imagery throughout. Parallels carry names that match the theme, ranging from Refractor at the top of the commons to the 1/1 Superfractor at the rarest end.
The full parallel run: Refractor, Nucleus Refractor, White Hole Refractor, Aqua Equinox Refractor /199, Purple Nebula Refractor /150, Blue Moon Refractor /99, Green Space Dust Refractor /75, Gold Interstellar Refractor /50, Orange Galactic Refractor /25, Black Eclipse Refractor /10, Lunar Eclipse Refractor /10, Red Flare Refractor /5, and Superfractor 1/1.
Key Veterans (Cards 1-100)
The veteran half of the base set covers the full NFL with multiple players per team. Some of the names to look for: Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes II, Jalen Hurts, Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, Saquon Barkley, CeeDee Lamb, Justin Jefferson, and Travis Kelce. Basically every marquee name in the league has a card in this set.
Rookie Class (Cards 101-200)
The rookie portion of the base set is deep and covers the full 2025 NFL Draft class. The most-watched names going into this release: Cam Ward (Tennessee Titans), Ashton Jeanty (Las Vegas Raiders), Travis Hunter (Jacksonville Jaguars), Abdul Carter (New York Giants), Jaxson Dart (New York Giants), Tetairoa McMillan (Carolina Panthers), Shedeur Sanders (Cleveland Browns), Tyler Warren (Indianapolis Colts), Colston Loveland (Chicago Bears), and Omarion Hampton (Los Angeles Chargers).
Constellation Variations
Select players have Constellation Variations (BCV prefix), a 100-card set where players are depicted transforming into star constellations against a dark night sky. The design is noticeably darker than the standard base cards, making them visually distinct pulls. Both veterans and rookies appear in the Constellation Variation set.
Autographs
Autograph content is a major focus of Cosmic Chrome Football. The base Cosmic Chrome Autographs set includes 68 signers and lands at roughly 1:446 Hobby packs. Most signatures in this product are on-card, which is always a plus for collectors. Parallel versions of the autos run through Green Space Dust /75, Gold Interstellar /50, Orange Galactic /25, Black Eclipse /10, Lunar Eclipse /10, Red Flare /5, and Superfractor 1/1.
Beyond the base autos, there are three additional signed sets: Equinox Autographs, First Flight Signatures, and Solar Flare Signatures. All four auto sets feature notable veterans and top rookies from the 2025 class.
Inserts
Star Clusters and Extraterrestrial Talents
Star Clusters and Extraterrestrial Talents are the more common insert sets in the product. They carry the cosmic design language without the extreme scarcity of the short-printed case hits.
Planetarium
Planetarium inserts are printed horizontally and have a distinctive shadowbox look, with a colorful border framing a space scene. Each card shows a player at the center with multiple planets orbiting around them. The design is one of the more visually striking in the product.
Cosmic Dust
Cosmic Dust is a 20-card short-printed insert set hitting at roughly 1:693 Hobby packs. The set includes top rookies and veterans and is one of the tougher non-auto pulls in the product.
Light Years and Supernova
Light Years and Supernova round out the case-hit-level inserts. Like Cosmic Dust, both are short-printed and appear infrequently in Hobby boxes.
Planetary Pursuit
Planetary Pursuit is one of the more ambitious buildable sets in recent memory. Each featured player has 10 cards, one for each body in the solar system from the Sun out to Pluto. The cards get progressively scarcer as the planet gets further from the sun, so completing a full player run requires tracking down cards all the way out to the dwarf planet Pluto.
Featured Planetary Pursuit subjects include: Cam Ward, Ashton Jeanty, Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, Patrick Mahomes II, Lamar Jackson, Saquon Barkley, Justin Jefferson, Ja’Marr Chase, CeeDee Lamb, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Travis Hunter, Tyler Warren, Emeka Egbuka, Cam Skattebo, Jaxson Dart, and others.
