The numbers are pulled from GemRate.com, and come from the grading services PSA, Beckett, CGC and SGC.
In this post we’ll be taking a look at the Top-50 cards from a player who many consider to be the greatest football player of all time, Tom Brady. If basketball is more your speed, check out the Top 50 Most Graded Michael Jordan Cards Ever.
Since getting drafted in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft, Brady has had a unique journey to becoming one of the best players to ever step onto the gridiron. He spent the first 20 seasons of his career with the New England Patriots, winning six Super Bowl titles and three Most Valuable Player awards. To close out his career, he spent three seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, adding on another Super Bowl title to his resume. As of right now, he holds league records for most passing completions, yards and touchdowns in a career.
Without further ado, let’s get into it: the Top 50 most graded Tom Brady cards ever as of June 2025.
1. 2000 Bowman #236 Tom Brady – 23,949 Total Grades

The first card on this list is also the first card we’re going to be taking a deep dive into, the 2000 Bowman #236 card. It stands out from all the rest because it’s widely regarded as Tom Brady’s most iconic rookie card.
This card was released before Brady had ever started an NFL game and was just your average sixth-round draft pick, and it captures him in his pre-fame, rookie state. It features the classic Bowman Football border, with Brady in his signature No. 12 Patriots jersey front and center.
As Brady reached the status of being one of the greatest football players ever, the demand for all of his rookie cards skyrocketed. With this one being the crown jewel of them all, that elevated its status to the most graded Tom Brady card ever.
According to the Ludex app, even a raw version of this card costs anywhere between an estimated $485 to $902. If collectors were lucky enough to get a gem-rate on their card, it can sell for upwards of $7,000.
2. 2000 SkyBox Impact #27 Tom Brady – 13,015 Total Grades
3. 2000 SkyBox Dominion #234 Tom Brady (and Giovanni Carmazzi) – 10,413 Total Grades

This card features two quarterbacks from the same draft class who ended up having drastically different careers. While Brady is known for being a late-round pick that developed into the best quarterback ever, Giovanni Carmazzi got drafted in the third-round and never took a single snap in the NFL. Thus, the 2000 SkyBox Impact #27 helps show that nothing is certain when it comes to draft predictions and player development.
Labeled a Rookies Pairs card, the card features both quarterbacks in their college jerseys, midway through their throwing motions. Being a dual-rookie card, it’s impactful for collectors because it stands for Brady’s underdog start to his career in the NFL.
Compared to other Brady rookie cards, this one is considered one of the most budget-friendly options. According to Ludex estimates this card is worth between $32 and $59 when it isn’t graded, but gemmed cards can go for several thousands of dollars.
The 2000 SkyBox Dominion #234’s 10,413 total grades were good enough to make it the third-most graded Brady card ever. While it isn’t always expected for dual cards to be so high regarded, this one makes it an exception.
4. 2000 Press Pass #37 Tom Brady – 7,839 Total Grades
5. 2000 Pacific #403 Tom Brady – 5,456 Total Grades
6. 2000 Upper Deck #254 Tom Brady – 5,449 Total Grades
7. 2000 Pacific Paramount #138 Tom Brady – 4,778 Total Grades
8. 2000 Fleer Ultra #234 Tom Brady – 4,459 Total Grades
9. 2000 Pacific Aurora #84 Tom Brady – 4,152 Total Grades
10. 2000 Fleer #352 Tom Brady – 4,120 Total Grades
11. 2000 Upper Deck Victory #326 Tom Brady – 3,109 Total Grades
12. 2020 Panini Prizm #255 Tom Brady – 2,958 Total Grades
13. 2000 Upper Deck Black Diamond #126 Tom Brady – 2,876 Total Grades
14. 2000 Pacific Crown Royale #2 Tom Brady – 2,781 Total Grades
15. 2020 Panini Phoenix #35 Tom Brady – 2,697 Total Grades

The 2020 Panini Phoenix #35 card holds a lot of value and significance because it was Brady’s first Panini Phoenix card in a Buccaneers jersey after he spent the first 20 seasons of his career with the Patriots.
Brady’s offseason signing was one of the most surprising and historic player moves in recent memory, and this card does a good job of representing that moment. Just like a Phoenix can die and reemerge from the ashes, he reinvented himself as a quarterback and proved he could succeed without Patriots coach Bill Belichick, as he won a Super Bowl title during his first season in Tampa.
Collectors love “first” cards, so with this being one of the most mainstream early cards of Brady being on the Buccaneers, it attracted a lot of attention. It was released during the 2020 card boom where grading saw a huge spike, and with the hype of Brady going to a new team, his cards were slabbed in masses.
Brady himself has been involved in a good amount of hype around the trading card industry as of late, and he’s a card fan himself. He’s now working alongside a company called CardVault by Tom Brady, a line of card shops that’s opening in iconic locations across the country.
This card shows that even non-rookie base cards can spark a lot of demand for graders, as it was graded for a total of 2,697 times.
16. 2002 Upper Deck SP Authentic #1 Tom Brady – 2,571 Total Grades

Card number 16 on the list is this 2002 Upper Deck SP Authentic #1 card, which is an important one as it’s one of the first base cards that was released after Brady had started his rise to fame in the NFL.
During the 2001 NFL season, Brady replaced an injured Drew Bledsoe and ended up holding onto the starting job and leading the Patriots to their first ever Super Bowl title. In 2002 after winning his first ring, it was safe to say he had earned the full-time starting quarterback role. Due to all of this career development, this 2002 card marks a major turning point in Brady’s career trajectory.
Being card No. one in the set adds to the card’s allure as well. This spot is reserved for big superstars and faces of the league, thus showing that Upper Deck thought Brady was on that level, as they made him the cover card for one of their premier football products.
While it wasn’t numbered, this base card still comes from a premium, hobby-focused set with limited production. This made the 2002 Upper Deck SP Authentic #1 card more appealing to grade than a lot of the mass-produced flagship Brady cards, something that’s reflected in its 2,571 total grades.
17. 2000 Fleer Tradition #352 Tom Brady – 2,537 Total Grades
18. 2014 Topps Chrome #62 Tom Brady – 2,445 Total Grades
19. 2000 Fleer Metal #267 Tom Brady – 2,429 Total Grades

The 2000 Fleer Metal #267 is one of the more unique rookie Brady cards on this entire list, as it is a perfect example of the futuristic design that Fleer Metal sets were known for at the time.
Front and center is a standard picture of rookie-year Brady, but several aspects make this card stand out design-wise. It has a glittery, foil-based finish that makes the card stand out to both collectors and the average person. Also, the background behind Brady is hazy and layered, giving it a distinct look.
Because of the card’s metallic finish, it was very prone to chipping and wear-and-tear, making it pretty difficult to gem. The card has received 2,429 total grades, a number that makes sense because a PSA 10 version recently sold for almost $4,000 on eBay.com.
This card helps show that fragile cards often see a lot of grading volume, even if it isn’t coming from a high-end set. That, along with the fact that it’s a true rookie card, helped elevate the 2000 Fleer Metal #267 card to being one of the most graded Brady cards ever.
20. 2020 Panini Mosaic #135 Tom Brady – 2,318 Total Grades
21. 2000 Score #316 Tom Brady – 2,283 Total Grades
22. 2016 Panini Donruss Optic #62 Tom Brady – 2,261 Total Grades
23. 2000 Quantum Leaf #343 Tom Brady – 2,217 Total Grades
24. 2002 Topps Chrome #100 Tom Brady – 2,085 Total Grades
25. 2012 Panini Prizm #116 Tom Brady – 1,748 Total Grades

The 2012 Panini Prizm #116 marked Brady’s debut card in the Prizm product line, which has evolved into Panini’s premier chromium brand across all major sports. Brady, in the prime of his career, is pictured running with the ball in his hands while the signature Prizm chrome color fills the background and borders.
When this card was released, collectors may not have realized just how popular the Prizm brand would get. Now, with Prizm’s popularity, collectors will oftentimes go back and grade some of the cards from the early years.
Because it was the first year for Prizm Football, this card was part of a set of “firsts,” that got a lot of attention from fans of the hobby. Like we talked about in the Top 50 Most Graded LeBron James Cards Ever blog, first-year Prizms are treated like staples in any collection, even if the player isn’t a rookie. For players that will go down as some of the greatest of all time, like Brady and James, these cards become chase cards.
According to the Ludex app, the 2012 Panini Prizm #116 Tom Brady card is worth an estimated $14 to $25 when ungraded. Its mark of 1,748 total grades brings us right around to the halfway point of our list.
26. 2000 SP Authentic #118 Tom Brady – 1,706 Total Grades
27. 2002 Upper Deck SPX #6 Tom Brady – 1,555 Total Grades
28. 2015 Topps Chrome #50 Tom Brady – 1,535 Total Grades

38. 2019 Panini Prizm #18 Tom Brady – 1,123 Total Grades
39. 2004 Topps Chrome Ring of Honor RH-38 Tom Brady – 1,083 Total Grades

This 2004 Topps Chrome Ring of Honor #RH-38 card is extra special because it shines a light on Brady’s MVP performance in Super Bowl XXXVII, where his Patriots won their second-straight title.
The card is part of a long-running Topps insert line that’s all about honoring players for huge performances and accomplishments. Brady became a part of the “Ring of Honor” after winning his second title, and second Super Bowl Most Valuable Player award, all at the age of 26-years-old.
Being that this card was a Topps Chrome insert specifically, it combined the typical high-gloss finish and sharp design of all Chrome cards with the timeless nature and significance of the “Ring of Honor.” For collectors, this made the entire product line very valuable, but especially for legends like Brady hitting a huge milestone.
It’s a relatively cheap option for people who are looking to get in on Brady cards, as even the gem-rated cards typically fall in the $125 to $200 range. When event-based inserts are tied to legends, they can still attract a lot of grading volume, and this one is a key example of that with just over a thousand total grades.
